Who we are

Amble is a wedding seating planning service operated by UPEVENT for couples using weddings.upevent.co. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how to contact us about your data.

Information we collect

We collect the information needed to create and manage a wedding seating plan. This may include:

• Account details such as name, email address, password credentials, login method, and email verification status.
• Wedding details such as wedding name, date, room layout, tables, seating assignments, partner invite details, and export settings.
• Guest list information you enter or import, including guest names, RSVP status, household or group notes, tags, dietary requirements, plus-one details, and seating preferences.
• Files or pasted data you provide for guest import. Uploaded source files are processed for the import workflow and are not kept after processing; parsed guest data and import metadata may remain in your wedding plan.
• Operational information such as session cookies, CSRF tokens, password reset tokens, magic-link tokens, delivery logs for product emails, audit events, IP-derived request metadata, and error or security logs.

Google sign-in

If you choose to sign in with Google, Google may provide us with basic account information such as your email address, name, email verification status, and a Google account identifier. We use this only to authenticate you, link your login method to your Amble account, and protect access to your wedding seating plan.

Amble does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or other Google content. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it except as needed to provide and secure the service.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create accounts and shared wedding seating plans for the bride and groom.
• Authenticate users, send magic links, reset passwords, verify email addresses, and deliver partner invites.
• Let you manage guests, RSVPs, tables, seating preferences, room layout, seating plans, and venue exports.
• Provide optional help matching imported columns and normalising guest-list data when that feature is enabled and selected.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, improve reliability, and satisfy operational or legal requirements.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only where needed to run Amble, comply with law, or protect the service.

• With the other accepted partner in the same wedding seating plan.
• With infrastructure, database, hosting, email, logging, and authentication providers that help us operate the service.
• With optional import or normalisation providers only when you choose to use that feature.
• With authorities or other parties if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect users and the service.

Cookies and security

We use cookies and similar browser storage for sessions, login security, CSRF protection, flash messages, and temporary workflow state. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Retention and deletion

We keep account, wedding, guest, seating, export, audit, and operational records for as long as needed to provide the service, support users, maintain security, and meet legal or operational needs. After the wedding date, editing may be locked while exports remain available for a limited period.

You can request access, correction, or deletion by contacting [email protected]. We may need to keep limited records where required for security, legal, backup, or operational reasons.

Children

Amble is intended for people planning a wedding and is not directed to children. Please do not use the service if you are not old enough to enter into an online service agreement in your location.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. When we make material changes, we will update the date on this page and take reasonable steps to let users know.
